Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
ReapWell Calories & Activity (“ReapWell” or “the app”) is made by Obietek. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: everything stays on your own devices and in your Health app. We have no servers, no accounts, and we never see your data.
What the app uses
Health data (Apple Health / HealthKit)
With your permission, ReapWell reads the following from Apple Health. It never writes to Health.
| Category | Why |
|---|---|
| Active energy, resting energy, workouts | To calculate the calories you burn each day and to list today’s workouts. |
| Dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, total fat | To show the calories and macros you ate, as logged by your nutrition app. |
| Weight, height, date of birth, biological sex | To pre-fill your profile and estimate your resting metabolic rate. |
Your workout history over the past four weeks is also used, on your device, to suggest an activity level. You can change what ReapWell can read at any time in Health › Sharing › Apps › ReapWell. If you turn categories off, the related numbers simply show as zero.
Your profile
Your answers in setup (sex, birthday, height, weight, activity level, daily goal, units, appearance) are stored only on your iPhone. They are used to calculate your baseline and daily target.
Widgets and Apple Watch
A small daily summary (today’s calories in, calories out, macros, and your goal) is kept in a private storage container on your iPhone that only ReapWell and its own widgets can read. The same summary, along with your resting baseline, is sent to your paired Apple Watch using Apple’s Watch Connectivity, which is a direct, encrypted device-to-device channel. The watch app also reads the same Health categories directly on the watch. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
What we do not do
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your data on any server. The app has no account and makes no network connections of its own.
- We do not sell or share your data, use it for advertising or tracking, or include any third-party analytics or advertising tools.
- Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never disclosed to third parties.
Purchases
ReapWell is sold as a one-time purchase through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction; we do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID.
Your data and Apple
Data in Apple Health is managed by Apple’s Health app and may sync through your iCloud account according to your Health and iCloud settings. See Apple’s privacy policy for how Apple handles that data. Deleting ReapWell removes the profile and summary it stored on your devices; your Health data is unaffected.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Health disclaimer
Calorie, deficit, and weight-change figures are estimates based on Apple Health data and standard formulas. ReapWell is not a medical device and does not give medical or nutritional advice. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet, especially before following an aggressive calorie deficit.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
