TreadPath

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

TreadPath (“the app”) is made by Obietek. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: your data stays on your devices and in your Health app, and we don’t collect it.

What the app uses

Health data (Apple Health / HealthKit). With your permission, TreadPath:

This is used only to calculate calories and heart rate zones, to save your workouts, and to show your own history on your iPhone. You can change access at any time in Health › Sharing › Apps › TreadPath.

Motion & Fitness. Your Apple Watch’s step data is used during a workout to show cadence and to pause and resume automatically.

Bluetooth. TreadPath connects to your Bluetooth treadmill only to read its speed and incline. It never sends commands to the treadmill. The identifier of the treadmill you paired is stored on your watch so it can reconnect.

Settings. Your choices (Walk/Run, units, auto-pause) are stored on your watch.

What we do not do

Your data and Apple

Workouts saved to Health are managed by Apple’s Health app and may sync through your iCloud account according to your Health and iCloud settings. See Apple’s privacy policy for how Apple handles that data.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Medical disclaimer

Calories, distance and heart rate zones are estimates. TreadPath is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Talk to a doctor before starting an exercise program.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
