Please don’t post health information in a public issue. Describe what happened and which device and OS version you use.

Getting started

Open TreadPath on your Apple Watch, choose Walk or Run, set the treadmill’s speed and incline, and tap Start. The iPhone app shows your treadmill history and profile from Health.

Common questions

It says it isn’t authorized, or Start does nothing

TreadPath needs permission to save workouts. On your iPhone open Health › Sharing › Apps › TreadPath and turn everything on, then try again. If it still fails, delete the app from your iPhone and Apple Watch, reinstall, and allow all requests.

Calories look wrong

Calories use the speed and incline you enter (or your treadmill reports) and your weight in Health. If there’s no weight in Health, TreadPath assumes 70 kg. Add your weight in the Health app for better estimates. All values are estimates.

Cadence shows “--” or heart rate zones look off

Cadence needs Motion & Fitness access and a few seconds of steady steps. Heart rate zones use your age from Health to estimate your maximum heart rate; add your date of birth in Health for better zones.

The workout pauses by itself

Auto-pause stops the timer when you stop moving (or when a connected treadmill’s belt stops) and resumes when you start again. You can turn it off with the Auto-Pause switch on the setup screen.

Connecting a Bluetooth treadmill

Tap Connect Treadmill on the setup screen. Many treadmills allow only one Bluetooth connection at a time, so disconnect other apps first. If yours doesn’t appear, tap “Show all devices”. While connected, speed and incline follow the treadmill and are locked. If the connection drops, they unlock and keep their last values.

mph or km/h

Use the Units switch on the setup screen. Changing it resets the speed to the starting speed for your Walk or Run choice.
